Chronic stress can kill you...

And if it doesn't shorten your life (which it might), then it will definitely reduce your quality of life. It's a real lose/lose problem.

The World Health Organisation (WHO) describes stress as a 'world-wide epidemic'. It's a very serious by-product of today's life-style.

Statistics released in 2007 by the UK Health and Safety Commission (HSC) show a dramatic increase in the number of workers suffering from work related stress in Great Britain. The Chair of the HSC had a stark reminder for employers; "We need to make a conscious effort to tackle workplace stress [because] nearly 14 million working days due to work-related stress were lost in 2006". That's 14,000,000 working days lost due to stress in the workplace. That's a lot of money. In the USA, it's between $200,000,000,000 to $300,000,000,000 every year. It's a very big problem and the health impilcations are enormous.

Of course, everyone gets stressed sometimes, it's a part of how we function, but it gets out of hand quite quickly if you aren't careful. And it's a vicious circle, the more stressed you get, the less productive you get, so the more pressure you feel under and the more stressed you get. Breaking out of this cycle is very, very difficult unless you have the right training.

But there is good news... you can consult as as an individual, or you can create or join a group to learn how to manage your own stress.

Or you can contact us on behalf of your company to learn how your company can manage stress among your managers and staff. We can design a training course to 'train the trainers' if that's what you need, or we can directly train your managers to incorprate the techniques we teach into their work and their team management.

If you're working under pressure, then it's highly likely that you could use some stress management training. Don't die early, and don't let stress make you miserable. You can do something about it..
