About our clinic and how to arrange an appointment
Our behavioural change clinic does what it says on the tin - it achieves behavioural change. In particular, we specialise in resolving stress/anxiety issues, and phobias and other non-rational fears.
In addressing these widespread problems, we acknowledge that there are many tools available to achieve behavioural change, and we therefore use aspects of a series of approaches from classical psychology. Among other approaches, we use aspects of CBT (cognitive behavioural therapy), REBT (rational-emotive behavioural therapy), and existential and reality therapies. We also use elements of transaction analysis, Adlerian therapy, and in some cases, logotherapy. But our major tools are the person-centred therapy of Rogers and Maslow, and the techniques of what we call modern psychology which draw on some aspects of hypnotherapy and clinical NLP, which are heavily dependent upon the way the mind learns from experience for their effectiveness.
Of course, the same broad approaches and techniques can be used, not only to fix what's wrong, but to enhance what's already right, and in this context, personal development and expansion can be achieved. By using the same behavioural change techniques, we can helo you to become more productive, less stressed, more focused, and generally position you to get more out of life - to become the best you for you.
We generally work on a 1-to-1 basis, since this is the best way to achieve results in the shortest period of time. But we can work in groups, for example we have a number of stress management training offerings which are better done in groups than by individuals. These include corporate and private stress-reduction seminars and workshops, and include training you and your staff in many of the same techniques we use in our clinic to achieve reductions in stress levels.
We also have occasional opportunities to achieve behavoural change at a reduction in cost (typically 50% reduction of our normal consultation rate), if you are willing to assist with our training of clinical counselling and psychology professionals. This involves agreeing to having sessions recorded (either audio only or video and audio) for training purposes. Anonymity is guaranteed of course, and there are strict controls as to privacy. Also we will only use certain cases types - obviously. If you want to discuss this, please feel free to contact us in complete confidence that we will always protect your privacy.
